As for the movie... it was fun to keep rolling on the Twilight express, but it was my least favorite of the three movies so far. There was no one image, scene or theme that really captured me, that took me on the story's ride. And, they replaced the original actress who played Victoria - the gorgeous and subtle Rachelle Lefevre - with Bryce Dallas Howard. I've never cared for BDH. I've always felt she plays caricatures rather than characters, which I don't respect, and that's exactly what she did to the Victoria character and story line.
Also, Team Jacob got a few points taken away because Jacob, well, acted kinda like a douche. Nothing like forcing a girl to kiss you and telling her repeatedly that she loves you and just won't admit it! He's still hotter than Edward, though...
After I got home from the movie, Honey Bunny and I went on a walk. Not just any walk, but the dreaded (to me) "Stairs Walk". It's a walk that is one long climb start to finish, and thus is not typically "enjoyable" for me because I huff and puff the entire way up and have to take repeated breaks. The breaks provided for some good photo opps, though.
We always joke that as we get closer to the top of the walk, the more it becomes like ascending Mount Doom. It's always cold and windy as we approach, but on the colder days with fog, it ramps up the intensity a bit. This half-panorama I took at the top does the weather and scenery no justice, but it was worth a shot.
I always try to work in a nice local dinner at the end of this walk so that I have something to look forward to (and it helps extend the walk just a bit). Honey Bunny went for my choice of You See Sushi, yay! I love vegetarian Japanese food done well, and You See is the best. Not to mention, we walk out with bellies stuffed full of goodness for $20 total, and that includes a good tip.
The evening ended with Honey Bunny's snoring head in my lap while I watched the other DVD I rented, The Runaways. It was a sad story and a 'meh' movie but despite that, can I just tell you how much I'm enjoying watching movies lately?? It's been so long since I've indulged this level of immersion.
